NBC's #YouthEmpowered Initiative Trains and Awards Business Grants to Young Entrepreneurs in Borno, Osun, Oyo and the FCT

Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) Ltd., a member of Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company (CCHBC) and a leading name in consumer goods, has successfully concluded groundbreaking editions of its flagship initiative, #YouthEmpowered, in Borno, Osun,  Oyo States and the FCT. This initiative, renowned for equipping young Nigerians with critical employability and entrepreneurial skills, continues to inspire and empower the nation’s youth to excel in Nigeria’s evolving economy.

The latest sessions, held in November and December across the three states and the FCT, attracted over 7,000 participants eager to gain practical skills for career and business success. Participants engaged in intensive workshops covering financial literacy, project management, business planning, customer service, and negotiation techniques—foundational tools for navigating today’s job market or scaling entrepreneurial ventures.

The #YouthEmpowered initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to creating meaningful impact, enabling youth to transform challenges into opportunities and build a thriving economy. These sessions in Borno, Osun, Oyo and the FCT are a testament to our drive to empower communities and support the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs

The program, which has impacted over 50,000 young Nigerians since its launch in 2017, continues to bridge critical skill gaps while fostering entrepreneurship and innovation. In keeping with its tradition to encourage entrepreneurship ventures during these training sessions, participants pitched their business ideas, with over ten winners receiving the prestigious Director’s Business Grant to support their businesses across all locations. Among the recipients were Abubakar Mohammad Dungus, Emmanuel Oluwadamilare, and Agbasimere Chinonye Jessica, representing Borno, Osun, and Oyo States respectively.
