The key focus is on individuals who are out of school, employment or those that need access to the right training, skills or confidence necessary to pursue their dreams and realize their goals.

In line with our commitment to youth empowerment, Nigerian Bottling Company Limited (NBC) has successfully deployed #YouthEmpowered across various states of the federation that include: Lagos, Oyo, Edo, Kano, Kaduna, Rivers, Enugu, Abeokuta and Calabar and will ensure the train moves across the states yet to be visited. This will ensure the youth can discover themselves, understand their strengths and developmental opportunities, as well as provide them with a platform for meaning interaction with business leaders and mentors.

Participants are trained with an extensive curriculum at the live workshops which run for 3 days. Topics covered range from project and time management to business planning, negotiation, financial literacy skills, communication and sales skills and so on.

In Nigeria, over 4,500 people have attended the live workshops with more than 9,000 registered on the Digital Hub.

In furtherance of its commitment to improving the lives of the Nigerian youths, the Nigerian Bottling Company recently trained over 500 youths in Cross River State under its 3 – day workshop tagged, ‘Youth Empowered Nigeria’. It is the 9th edition in the series following Abeokuta, kano, Benin and Ibadan.

The initiative is developed to help young people to achieve their career ambitions by providing guidance, support and assistance during their transition from school to meaningful employment, and Calabar was the latest stop in the train going across the country. Participants were engaged on life, business and networking skills during the workshop.

The program is a strategy by Coca‑Cola Hellenic Bottling Company, to impact 1 million youths by 2025 across the 28 countries where it has operations, as part of the 2025 Sustainability commitments, with 100,000 of the youths coming from Nigeria, one of its biggest operational bases.
