The Coca‑Cola system has partnered with the Nigeria Football Federation to sponsor the Nigeria National Football teams.
To further ingrain our footprints in the annals of sports history, the Coca‑Cola system have partnered with the Nigeria Football Federation to sponsor the Nigeria National Football teams. This sponsorship further reinforces the support and commitment of the system to football in Nigeria.
The NFF is the supreme body charged with the responsibility of developing, organizing and governing football in Nigeria and they manage all of Nigeria’s national football teams, which include the national team (Super Eagles), the National Under-23 Team (the Dream Team), the National Under-15 (the Future Eagles), the National Futsal Team, the National Women Team (the Super Falcons), the National Female Under-20 team (the Falconets), and the National Women Under-17 Team (the Flamingoes).
Coca‑Cola has always been in the forefront of corporate support for the development of football in Nigeria as is evident in the huge funds committed yearly to the Copa-Coca‑Cola Under-15 secondary school national football competition which culminates in scholarships for players of the winning schools as well as sponsoring the best players to international soccer camps.
The partnership with Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the sponsorship of the Nigeria National Football teams is to further reinforce the support and commitment of Coca‑Cola and The Nigerian Bottling Company to football in Nigeria, evident in the huge funds committed yearly to the Copa-Coca‑Cola Under-15 secondary school national football competition which culminates in scholarships for players of the winning schools as well as sponsoring the best players to international soccer camps.
Speaking at the event, NBC Country Managing Director, Georgios Polymenakos said “At Coca‑Cola, we believe that sports is not only a part of a healthy lifestyle but it also provides platforms for the right foundation. The Coca‑Cola partnership with NFF and the sponsorship of all the Nigerian National Football teams will span for an uninterrupted period of 5 years after which there will be an opportunity for renewal.
